Welcome to the new website. We invite your to interact with our site so we can better advance the mission of "go ye into all the world......"! Our blog is The Tool Shed, grab some info, ideas, links and express yourself, with class please! We have launched another blog that is called www.just50steps.com. We are using this as a more community based effort that invites collaboration in the Denver Metro area. Check it out!
We also like to update you on our efforts and how to be strategic in working this field. We have two grants, The Prison Reentry Initiative and the Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Initiative. We invite you to participate and use us as a interface to connect with a population that is ready for change. We also run a Mentor Support Group on the last Sat. of every month at 9th and Emerson, 10 - 12 PM. This is open to anyone intrested! Come on down!
We are setting up volunteer training for January 5th. Please check our calender out on a regular basis. We also have some forms available on the site to assist you in your work. Soon to come, podcasting!
We are currently going to two facilities, Sterling and the Denver Womens with Camp George West on the way. We need 25 mentors immediately to connect with inmates 3 months prior to discharge! These are offenders that are non-sex offenders and non-violent. This will enable us to get some sucess and motivation with this group. Helpful when doing recruitment. Be blessed as you serve, make a difference and change the lives of these, the least of our brethern!
